Welcome to the Teacher Regulation Branch

Important Update about the BC Teachers' Council Elections

Elections for the BC Teachers' Council are being held in the Vancouver Coastal, Vancouver Island and Fraser zones. Voting packages were mailed to certificate holders in each zone that should have contained a letter and voter identification card, candidate statements, a return envelope, a ballot envelope and a ballot. It has come to the attention of the Teacher Regulation Branch that ballots were not included in the envelopes.

Please note that a ballot will be mailed to certificate holders shortly. Certificate holders are being asked to keep the voting package that they have already received as the voter identification card and ballot envelope, along with the ballot, will need to be returned in the business-reply return envelope to the Teacher Regulation Branch.

The Teacher Regulation Branch apologizes for any inconvenience that this error may have caused.

The Teacher Regulation Branch (TRB), part of the Ministry of Education, was created to support the implementation of the Teachers Act, which came into force on January 9, 2012. The TRB provides operational support to the regulatory structure for the teaching profession in British Columbia.
