The Teacher Regulation Branch regularly offers Information Sessions for applicants
who want more information about the application process.
In these Information Sessions, an evaluator from the Branch will explain the documents
we require as part of your application and the general application process. The evaluator will not review any of your documents or predict what your evaluation results may be.
We offer two types of information sessions:
- Applying for a Certificate of Qualification, and
- Applying for an Independent School Teaching Certificate.

In your email, please include your full name, phone number, the country where you completed your training, and the names of any guests accompanying you.

Preparing for the session
If you are attending an Information Session about applying for a Certificate of Qualification, please download and print the
General Application Package.
If you are attending an Information Session about applying for an Independent School Teaching Certificate, please download and print the
Application Package for an Independent School Teaching Certificate.
Read the information in the application package, write down any questions and bring the package
and your questions with you.
Arrive early to check in
Please arrive at least 15 minutes before the Information Session begins to check in at our reception desk.
Please do not be late as we will not be able to admit you to the session.
No children, please
We do not allow children to attend these sessions.
Where we are located
We are located at suite 400, 2025 West Broadway in Vancouver.
Our office is on West Broadway between Maple Street and Arbutus Street.
To get to the parkade beneath our building, turn into the lane behind our building from Maple Street
and turn left at the end of the lane. You can pay to park in any parking stall marked for Visitor Parking.
Take the elevator to the fourth floor and check in at the reception desk.
Leaving an application
If you wish, you may leave your application with us at the end of the Information Session.
You must submit your application fee with your application form.
We recommend that you include any other documents you can, such as identification documents
and verification of employment.
Please note that many documents must be sent directly to us from institutions or individuals.
For example, the universities you have attended must send us your transcripts
and your referees must send us the completed character reference forms.
When these arrive, we will add them to your file.
